The Strategic Treasurers Alliance is a network of treasury leaders navigating the evolving intersection of finance, policy, and corporate responsibility.
Treasury teams, traditionally focused on managing liquidity and financial risk, are increasingly recognized as custodians of substantial corporate cash and investments. As a result, treasurers now face growing exposure to climate-related financial risks and rapidly evolving sustainability regulations that are becoming more complex, consequential, and embedded in corporate strategy.
In response to this shifting landscape, a cohort of European treasurers has come together to establish the Strategic Treasurers Alliance (STA).
This independent working group, which represents companies with a combined market capitalisation of $850 billion USD, is focused on exploring practical approaches for integrating climate risk and sustainability considerations into treasury management, including how to measure, manage, and disclose emissions linked to corporate cash and investments.
